2024 Program
Our 2024 Plans Revealed.
Welcome back to the Hawkesbury Camera Club for 2024. We have posted our planned program for 2024.
The committee and Marian in particular have spent a considerable amount of time putting the program together. We are still open to outside influences however. Due to changes by presenters and life in general there may be changes throughout the year.
The Program will be entered into the Club Calendar and regularly updated. It is recommended you ‘subscribe’ to the Calendar on the Website Home page to receive regular updates. When you ‘subscribe’ to the calendar the events will automatically appear on your chosen electronic calendar on your phone (eg. iPhone, Android, Google). Updates maid by the club will also automatically update to your device.

Welcome Back BBQ
Members Celebrate the Start of 2024 Year
On Wednesday 7th February members and visitors of Hawkesbury Camera Club gathered for the traditional WelcomeBack BBQ at Pughs Lagoon, Richmond.
On the night we welcomed several new members to the club, who signed up and completed their registration on the new Club Platform.
Members chatted among themselves and enjoyed a BYO BBQ & a friendly drink. The conversation ranged from photography projects for the year to holidays had over the break to life in general.
2024 is shaping up as an exciting year for the club and members. Our next meeting is Wednesday 14th February at the Richmond Club starting at 7:30. Members are welcome to bring their laptops as the Committee guides members through the new platform, answering questions and helping get set for a fabulous year.
Thank you to Barry for taking photos of the event.

Photo Resizing Lightroom
Shed a little light on your exports
There are many software packages photographers use for editing, saving and sharing of their photos. In a digital world every photograph gets manipulated. One of the more complex steps is exporting and saving the images in a form that is easily shared.
This video walks you through the process using Lightroom.
On the new My Photo Club Platform all Digital Images are to be uploaded and meet the following criteria:
Max Size: Two (2) Megabytes.
Max Width: 1920 pixels.
Max Height: 1200 pixels.
To watch our selected video on Lightroom Click here!
The Hawkesbury Camera Club does not endorse any particular software or photographer tutorial or education platform or courses. The videos shared are shared as a courtesy & for educational purposes only. We do try to find the most suitable video to the match the subject matter being presented.

Photo Resizing Photoshop
Are you ready for the 2024 Competition Year?
One big change to Competition Entries this year is the new online submission process as opposed to the outdated email system. All entries need to be submitted digitally using the new platform. Same as previous, if entering the PRINT Section a digital copy needs to be uploaded, if entering the DIGITAL Section then only a digital copy needs to be uploaded.
On the new My Photo Club Platform all Digital Images are to be uploaded and meet the following criteria:
Max Size: Two (2) Megabytes.
Max Width: 1920 pixels.
Max Height: 1200 pixels.
To help members with resizing we will be posting tutorials covering resizing using various software packages.
Our first tutorial is resizing using Adobe Photoshop.

We will be demonstrating the new online submission process at our Q&A Meeting at The Richmond Club on Wednesday 14th February. You are welcome to bring your laptop along and follow the demonstration. See our events Calendar for more details.
